Hello Moon Handmade began during one of the hardest chapters of my life. During the end of April 2026, I had a medical emergency and during my cancer journey I was encouraged to find something I genuinely enjoyed—something creative that could help my mental health and give me somewhere positive to put my energy when life felt especially heavy.
 

Then came a Mother’s Day, that I almost didn't see. I saw a beautiful handmade resin gift and ordered it for my Mother, but it didn’t arrive until after Mother’s Day. So I decided, why not try making something myself?

While in the hospital I bought some resin. When I returned home I started experimenting, and something clicked. What began as a small hobby became a place of comfort, then a passion, and eventually snowballed into Hello Moon Handmade—creating personalized resin keepsakes and gifts!

I am excited to announce we are expanding into custom and pre-made T-shirts. The name behind this budding business comes from something much bigger than crafts.

I'm not sure quite where it began, but my Mom and I always say "I love you to Pluto and back." In turn, I say that to my son. Once he asked, "'Why do we say Pluto when everyone else says "the moon"?" I smiled and said, "Because the moon is far too close!"

For several years, whenever one of us sees the moon we wave and say, "Hello Moon!" Thus, the birth of Hello Moon Handmade - A proud Canadian business.
